Utopian drone technology for paralysed people
Project HU
A speculative design for 2050: a helmet-controlled drone that projects paralysed people back into everyday life.
A group project from Reflective Design Process (AD1RD1) at KTH, a course about the design process — dealing with problems, defending design decisions and building effective teams.
The brief was to design something supporting social inclusion in 2050. Project HU is a utopian drone technology: the user wears a helmet that controls a drone projecting the user into the real world, equipped with cameras and microphones to interact with people.
I designed the prototype and created the video demo in Premiere Pro with motion graphics in After Effects. The 3D models of the drone and helmet were made in Cinema 4D Lite.
